ضیشم کی سرخ غیظ وغضب سے بھری نظریں خود پر مرکوز دیکھ کر نواز خان کے گلے میں ایک گلٹی سے ابھر کر رہ گئی تھی کیونکہ نواز خان سمیت اس وقت کمرے میں موجود ہر شخص جانتا تھا کہ سردار ضیشم اجلال خان صرف گرجتا نہیں تھا۔ اس نے کہہ دیا تھا کہ وہ نواز خان پر نظر رکھوائے گا تو اب ایسا ہونا طے تھا۔ اب جب تک نواز خان اور اس کا بیٹا زندہ رہتا تب تک وہ ضیشم کی کڑی نگرانی سے بچ نہیں سکتا تھا ۔ضیشم اجلال کی بات پتھر پر لکیر کی طرح ہوتی تھی۔ اپنے پاپا کی طرح اس کے فیصلے بھی بے لچک اور پختہ ہوا کرتے تھے۔ وہ ابھی پچیس سال کا تھا مگر بچپن سے اپنے پاپا کے ساتھ رہتے اور انھیں لوگوں کے ساتھ اس طرح کے معاملات طے کرتے دیکھ کر اب اس کا تجربہ ڈبل ہو چکا تھا۔۔ تبھی اس نے اپنا فیصلہ سنانے کے بعد کسی کی طرف بھی دیکھنے کی کوشش نہیں کی تھی کیونکہ اسے پتہ تھا اب کوئی بھی اس کے سامنے دم مارنے کی جرأت نہیں کر سکے گا۔۔۔ یہی یہاں کا نظام تھا جو سالوں سے چلتا آ رہا تھا اور اس نظام کو بنانے والا ضیشم کا ہی خاندان تھا کیونکہ نسلوں سے "ڈیرہ یاور خان" گاؤں پر ضیشم اجلال خان کے خاندان کا راج تھا۔
