نے ہمیشہ کی طرح پریشانی سے پوچھا مگر وہ کب اسکی سن رہا تھا وہ تو غزل اور اسکے بولتے
نین کی سرگوشیاں سن رہا تھا، اسکے سارے بال ایک کندھے پر ڈال دیئے۔ دانین کا دل بہت
تیزی سے دھڑکا تھا اسکے ہاتھ کو بالوں سے ہٹانا چاہا جب بالاج نے اسےخود سے قریب کرلیا۔دانین
کو اپنا سانس اٹکتا محسوس ہوا یہ وہ شخص تو نہ تھا جسے اس نے آج تک دیکھا تھا۔۔۔

اسکے کان کے قریب جھک
کر گھمبیر لہجے میں بولتا اپنا لمس اسکے کان کی لو پر چھوڑ گیا دانین کو لگا وہ پتھر
کی ہوچکی ہے۔
"ایک انچ بھی اگر میری جاگیر میں سے کٹوائی
تو دانین حسن سچ کہہ رہا ہوں ہر لحاظ اور خود پر باندھے بندھ سب بھول جاؤں گا۔"اسکے
نم بالوں میں انگلیاں الجھاتا بہت پرسکون لہجے میں بولا اور اسے چھوڑتا کچن سے باہر
نکل گیا، دانین نے سلیپ پکڑ کر بہت مشکل سے خود کو سنبھالا تھا۔ وجود میں ہلکی سی کپکپی
طاری ہوگئی تھی۔ ذہن میں دوپہر والی بات آئی تو لبوں پر خود بخود ہی مسکان بکھرتی چلی
گئی۔
"زیادہ شارٹ مت کرانا دانین ورنہ مجھے بھی
غصہ آجانا ہے آنٹی کی طرح۔"اس کے بال کٹوانے کی خواہش پر رودابہ نے وارن کیا وہ
لوگ اس وقت کے بالاج کے روم میں بیٹھی تھیں، وہ زیادہ تر اپنے کاموں میں مصروف رہتا
تھا یا اسٹڈی میں ہی پایا جاتا تھا اپنے کمرے میں صرف ڈریس چینج کرنے ہی آتا تھا۔
"چلو نکلو یہاں سے اب تو دیکھنا بینگز کرواؤں
گی تھک چکی ہوں، اتنے بڑے بال سنبھال سنبھال کر۔"اپنی گھنی پونی ٹیل کمر کے پیچھے
ڈالتی اکتاکر بولی تھی۔
"مرو تم تو دیکھنا صبوحی آنٹی سیدھا کریں
گی۔"اسکی کمر پر ہاتھ مار کر بیڈ سے اتری۔
"میں آنٹی سے کہہ چکی ہوں انہوں نے کل کا

لیٹ گئی تبھی بالاج کمرے میں داخل ہوا تھا اس پر نظر پڑتے ہی گڑبڑا کر اٹھ بیٹھی تھی۔

جیسی ہوں نا دیکھیں مجھے۔۔ دیکھیں بابا دیکھیں " وہ چیخ رہی تھی بری طرح چلا رہی
تھی اور وہ سناٹوں میں گھرتے چلے گئےتھے۔
"ہوش کرو عاروشہ"
اسکے چیخنے کی آواز پر عثمان صاحب اندر آۓ تھے پیچھے
ہی اماں بیگم اور ساجدہ بی بی تھیں اندر کے منظر نے انہیں اک لمحے کو تو گنگ کردیا
صورتحال کو سمجھتے عثمان نے بڑھ کر عاروشہ کو سنبھالنے کی کوشش کی تھی جو بری طرح انہیں
جھنجھوڑتے سوال پر سوال کر رہی تھی
"چھوڑیں ۔۔م مجھے
چھوڑیں" وہ انکی گرفت سے نکلتی پھر سے انکی طرف لپکی تھی
" مجھے دیکھو
ابراہیم ۔ میری صورت دیکھو اگر میری ماں قابلِ نفرت تھی اک نیچ خاندان کی گھٹیا عورت
تھی جس پر تم نے الزام لگا کر اسکی جان لے لی۔ تو میں ۔ میں کیسے اتنی عزیز ہوں بولو
۔ جواب دو" چیخ چیخ کر اسکی آواز پھٹ گئی تھی پر اسکا جنون تھمنے میں نہیں آرہا
تھا ۔
"مجھے بھی ماردو
جان لے لو میری بھی بلکہ رکو میں خود کی جان خود لے لیتی ہوں۔ تمہاری اذیت ختم کیے
دیتی ہوں۔"وہ کانچ کا ٹکڑا اٹھا چکی تھی اور اس سے پہلے کہ وہ اس سے خودکو زخمی
کرتی انہیں ہوش آیا تھا اسکے ہاتھ کو جھٹک کر اک زور دار تھپڑ اسکے گال پر جڑ دیا ۔
جنون تھم گیا آواز
رک گئی وہ سپید چہرہ لیے انہیں تکے گئی زندگی کا پہلا تھپڑ وہ بھی جان لٹاتے باپ کے
ہاتھ سے۔
"آپ جانتے ہیں
آپ نے مجھ سے کیا کچھ چھینا ہے ۔"وہ دوبارہ سے بولنا شروع ہوئی تو آواز بے حد
پست تھی
"صرف ماں ہی نہیں
چھینی مجھ سے میری پہلی محبت بھی چھین لی آپ نے "
"حمدان ۔۔۔۔ وہ
کہتا تھا کہ میں تم سے شادی کیوں کروں تمہارا حوالہ کسی قدر بھی قابلِ ذکر نہیں۔ میری
ماں کے ساتھ ساتھ میری محبت کو بھی مار دیا آپ نے ۔"
وہ بھرائی ہوئی پھٹی
ہوئی آواز میں بولنا بلکہ رونا شروع ہوئی۔ ابراہیم صاحب کا دل ڈوب گیا وہ اسے سنبھالنے
کو آگے بڑھے تھے پر اسکے اگلے جملے نے انہیں منہ کے بل گرایا تھا ۔
"کاش کاش میں
سلیمان حسن کی بیٹی ہوتی تو اتنی رسوائی مقدر نہ بنتی۔" وہ پھپھک کر روتی کہہ
کر رکی نہیں تھی انہیں ساکت چھوڑ کر کربھاگتے ہوۓ کمرے سے
نکل گئی۔
